Reaching out for therapy can be a big step, and I know it isn't always easy. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are — without judgment, and without pressure to have everything figured out.

Alexa DiMeglio, LCSW
"I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship — I bring warmth, authenticity, and genuine care into every session."

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship. I'm not a "blank slate" therapist — I bring warmth, authenticity, and genuine care into every session. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves care that is respectful, affirming, and responsive to their unique experiences.
Together, we'll explore what's been weighing on you, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that fit your life and help you move toward the person you want to be.
I have experience working in both school settings and private practice. When I'm not seeing clients, I work full-time as a middle school social worker, supporting students through the everyday challenges that come with growing up.
I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, emotional challenges, and self-esteem concerns.
Fill out the contact form below and I'll reach out within 2–3 business days. You're also welcome to call or email me directly.
If we decide we're a good fit, we'll schedule your first session during the consultation. Before your appointment, you'll receive everything you need, including a secure link to join your virtual session.
$125 per 53–60 minute session
Payment is due at the time of service.
I am currently a private pay provider and do not bill insurance directly. I am in the process of becoming credentialed with several major insurance panels — please check back or reach out for updates on my in-network status.
In the meantime, I'm happy to provide a superbill (an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement). I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network benefits before starting.
Therapy is a place where you can show up exactly as you are. Some sessions might involve talking through what's been on your mind, while others might focus on learning new coping skills or finding different ways to handle difficult situations. Every person is different, so we'll work together to create an approach that feels right for you.
Individual therapy sessions are typically 53–60 minutes long.
Yes! I currently offer virtual therapy for clients located anywhere in New Jersey. At this time, I am not offering in-person sessions.
I work with children (ages 10+), teens, and young adults. Since my practice is fully virtual, I find it helpful, especially with younger clients, to speak with both the parent and the child or teen before we begin. This allows us to decide together whether virtual sessions are a good fit.
You don't have to wait until things feel unbearable to start therapy. Many people come because they're feeling overwhelmed, going through a life change, struggling with anxiety, or simply wanting someone to talk things through with. If you're wondering whether we'd be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can discuss what you're looking for and answer any questions you have.
The first step is a free 15-minute consultation — a low-pressure chance to ask questions and see if we're a good fit. Fill out the form and I'll reach out within 2–3 business days, or contact me directly:
